Chuks Unplayable Like That

Boss on his match winner Aneke

According to manager Steve Davis, Chuks Aneke is unplayable if he is in the same mood he showed when inspiring Crewe Alexandra Alexandra to a fairly comfortable 3-0 win over Sheffield United on Saturday. Aneke scored a first half brace to set Crewe up for their first back-to-back wins at home with substitute Byron Moore sealing the victory in stoppage time with a poaching goal.

Crewe have now won four home games out of the last six games to give us a fighting chance of escaping the drop and Aneke has been an influential figure in that.

Steve told crewealex.net: “Chuks was clinical and the chances fell to the right guy. He is the man in form and they were two very well taken goals.

“Chuks can get frustrated with himself and annoyed with himself if things are not going his way, but it is up to us to keep him focussed and calm. When he is on form like that he is virtually unplayable.

“He was excellent. He was dropping off and playing his little weighted passes and his finishing was top class. He is an exciting player to watch and has hit some really consistent form.”
