Abdul Out Of Stevenage Clash

Captain unlikely to travel after picking up foot injury

Club Captain Abdul Osman is rated as a major doubt after complaining of some discomfort in his foot. Osman is unlikely to travel for the club’s re-arranged fixture at Stevenage and manager Steve Davis has today withdrawn Liam Nolan and a fit-again Ollie Turton from Under-21 duty to act as cover.

Osman was an unused substitute in Saturday’s 3-1 win over our local neighbours Port Vale but has felt the injury to his foot on his return to training this morning.

Turton has recently returned from his knee injury and could now travel to the Lamex Stadium.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Our midfield were in the wars a bit at the weekend and we have one or two knocks but I’m sure they will be fine.

“Abdul has a foot injury. He is rated as very doubt and he is unlikely to travel tomorrow. We had an Under-21 game at Derby today, so Liam Nolan and Ollie Turton didn’t travel as we needed them as cover. Ollie is fit and may travel with us.”
