Lauri Dalle Valle having to wait for run out due to ankle injury

Crewe Alexandra’s most recent signing Lauri Dalle Valle will have to wait a bit longer to mark his second debut for the club after his ankle injury ruled him out for successive weekends. The 23-year-old frustratingly rolled his ankle on the eve of last weekend’s trip to Scunthorpe United and he has struggled to resume training this week.

The Finn has continued his rehabilitation work with head physio Rob Sharp but Steve Davis will be taking no chances with the former Fulham striker after only recently signing him on an 18-month deal.

Dalle Valle’s first joined Crewe on loan during the 2012-13 season and he became an instant hit with the supporters after scoring five goals in 10 appearances for the club.
