Steve Davis says Ness' hard work has paid off in his performances
Steve Davis says that his on-loan midfielder Jamie Ness has really begun to show the Crewe Alexandra faithful of his talent. The on-loan Stoke City midfielder unleashed an unstoppable shot past Bristol City goalkeeper Frank Fielding to seal three points against the current League One leaders and set the Alex up nicely for the Christmas period.
Ness’ wonder strike sealed Crewe’s fifth win of the campaign and Davis says that the hard work the Scotsman has accomplished on the training ground has really paid off in his recent performances.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “I’ve seen Nessy score a few of those goals in his career and in training. He has a wonderful left foot and it was some strike from him.
“He has suffered a lot of criticism but I think he is beginning to show the supporters what he can do. He has a great range of passing and good vision and we have helped him.
He added: “We have worked with him and backed him and shown faith in his ability and he has worked on his level of fitness. I think he is playing as well as he can in a red shirt.”
