Ness On His Future

Match winner Jamie says he will resolve his future after festive games

Jamie Ness says he will sit down and discuss his future after our two festive matches against Oldham Athletic on Boxing Day and Preston North End two days later. Ness, currently on loan from Stoke City until the New Year, hit a spectacular winner against league leaders Bristol City on Saturday and the former Glasgow Rangers man is improving with each game.

Ness, who has made 13 appearances for the club this season, admits that he just wants to play regular first-team football and would be happy to continue to do that as Gresty Road if it can be agreed between both clubs.

Jamie told the club’s official web-site: “My loan is up at the start of the year, so I’ve got these two games to go and we will take it from there.

January has been postponed, so there is a gap of around 10 days when I can sit down and see what the options are. I have obviously got to sit down with Stoke City first and foremost.rd“The Doncaster match on the 3

“I just want to be playing regular football. That is what I needed and I knew that. I’ve had a stop-start last two years and I knew I had to get games under my belt. I feel fit and I feel as though I am improving all the time.

Jamie added: “I’ve really enjoyed it at Crewe. I’ve settled in fine and the lads are great. The spirit is good and I am getting those games, so I am sure we will sit down after the two games soon enough and sort something out.”
