Harry Davis hopes experienced Tate will return to Gresty Road in the New Year
Harry Davis has told the club’s official web-site of his great admiration for the immensely experienced Alan Tate with his current loan deal set to expire tomorrow.
Boss Steve Davis will assess a possible loan extension with his Tate’s parent club in the New Year, along with the five other players we have on loan.
As a centre-half himself, Harry Davis is hoping that his 32-year-old team-mate will return in the New Year.
Davis, who captained the club in the absence of Matt Tootle and Adam Dugdale on Saturday said: “Tatey has been around and done it. He has such a great understanding and knowledge of the game.
“His positional sense and reading of the game is second to none and he has certainly helped us. He is a great lad and has been brilliant around the dressing room as well.
Harry added: “I have learnt a great deal from Alan and there are things I will try to add to my game. He certainly improved the competition in my position and I think he has been a great asset for us to have.”
