Davis Would Consider Loaning Out

5 December 2014

Boss to review things in January

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says there is a possibility he could allow some of his players to move out on loan in the New Year. Davis has recently bolstered his squad with the loan signing of Uche Ikpeazu, Nicky Ajose and Anthony Stewart and more recently Lauri Dalle Valle on a permanent 18-month deal.

Davis admits that if some of his players are in need of games in January then he would consider any offers, but he will only deal with that scenario after the busty Christmas period.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “There is a possibility we could loan players out in January. We have a busy Christmas period coming up and we could need everyone.

“We are in a much better position when it comes to our squad. We have a big squad and the right number of options now.

“Our treatment room is looking good. We only have Ryan (Colclough) and Fraser (Murdoch) out for any length of time now.

“If we feel that letting some of our younger players go out on loan in January will be beneficial to their experience then it is something we would consider.”
