Crewe Alexandra’s spacious Carlsberg Lounge will be hosting a Christmas Carol Service this evening from 6pm. 100 years on from the Christmas Day ceasefire in the trenches of World War I , Football Clubs up and down the country are inviting supporters to participate in a Silent Night Carol Event. Everyone is invited and entry to our Carol Service is completely free.

Both British and German troops sang the well-known carol, ‘Silent Night’ across No Man’s Land and they famously indulged in a game of football to mark Christmas Day 1914.

We would like to remember that remarkable Christmas 100 years on and make it a really special community event as ‘Faith meets Football’.

There'll be free cakes and hot drinks served afterwards the event and we will be joined by theCrewe Community Gospel Choir.
