Assess Loans Going Forward

Boss hints at extending loan deals in the New Year

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis says he will re-assess the situation with his loan players towards the end of the month. The Alex boss currently has defenders Alan Tate, Greg Leigh and Anthony Stewart, midfield Jamie Ness and forwards Nicky Ajose and Uche Ikpeazu on loan. All of them are up for consideration in January and the Alex boss and his staff will decide over the next two to three weeks the action going forward.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “All of our loans expire in January and it is something we will have to assess going forward. We will start looking at that soon.

“The decision rests with their respective clubs and then the players themselves. We will then make the decision that best suits us going forward. If they are in the team and doing well then we would look to do something.

“If they are helping us then it is something we would like to do, if they are not in the team then we would look at the alternatives. At the end of the day the decision is out of our hands a bit because they are not our players.”
