Marcus: "A Chance To Re-Invent Myself"

1 August 2014

Marcus Haber feels his physical presence will help Crewe be more of a threat up front

`1q Marcus Haber is hoping to add more goals to his game after completing his summer move to Crewe Alexandra. The Canadian International signed a two-year deal with the club following his release from Stevenage this summer and he aims to re-invent himself following a frustrating time at the Broadhall Way Stadium.

Marcus told the club’s official web-site: “I am delighted to be here and I am happy to be here at Crewe. This is a next step and a chance to prove myself. I want to re-invent myself here and add some goals to my game.

“Crewe is a great club and I am pleased to part of the philosophy here.

“I had a frustrating time at Stevenage and all I want to do is get back playing regularly again and help improve the team and improve myself.

“I offer a physical presence up there and hold the ball up and bring others into play. I can create goals and get my fair share too. The big part of my part is my height and my ability in the air.

“It will be a new experience for me to be one of the more senior professionals. That has never happened to me before but hopefully I can install some of my experience into the younger players we have here.”
