Colclough Back At St. George's

Steve Davis up-dates us on his injured pair Colclough and Davis

Ryan Colclough will be re-assessed at St. George’s Park after making encouraging strides in his battle against a long-standing hip and hernia injury. The winger will spent much of the week at the English Football Association's national football centre and it is hoped that the talented teenager could be back sometime in September.

Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “Ryan is back at St. George’s Park for re-assessment. He has made good progress and we will sit down with him at the end of the week and see the strides he has made.

“He is getting there and as a young player there is nothing more frustrating than missing a lot of football through injury, especially as he was beginning to establish himself in the team.”

Meanwhile, Harry Davis is now demonstrating a full range of movement following his knee operation. The defender is running again, twisting and turning and kicking balls again.

Steve told us: “Harry is out there every day and he is making those little steps forward every day. He is running freely, twisting and turning and has been whacking balls. He is fine and in a week or so we will get him to join in with box work and get him use to passing it. We will ease him in and then give him some game time with the Under-21s.

“We will see how he does and push him when he is ready.”
