Boss says clubs will be looking over their shoulders more now
Steve Davis says Saturday’s 2-1 win over Crawley Town has kept things tight at the bottom of League One and has brought John Gregory’s side back into the picture.
.rdThe Red Devils are on a run five straight defeats and have found goals hard to come by of late as their fixture demands begin to take their toll. The Alex boss believes that there will be many twists and turns between now and the end of the season but is only focussed on getting enough points to see us exit that bottom four before May 3
Steve told crewealex.net: “Crawley have had those games in hand and still have some in their favour but they have had a bad run of late and our win at their ground on Saturday will have them glancing over their shoulder again.
“They will know they are not totally out of it and it can be difficult to halt those types of runs. They have lost five on the bounce and John (Gregory) will know they have not got enough to be safe yet. We are trying to bring as many teams into the mix as possible.
“I am sure there will many twists and turns between now and the end of the season. We are just focussing on ourselves and making sure we are not in that bottom four at the end of the season.”
