Players Can Do It

2 April 2014

Steve Davis has every faith in his group

Steve Davis says he has every faith in his players to get the necessary points we will need to escape the drop into League Two. The Crewe Alexandra boss resisted the temptation to bring in extra reinforcements on loan before last weeks’ ultimate deadline, electing to put his confidence in his group.

Crewe have six games remaining to escape the drop back into League Two and Davis says that his players are ready to 'fight for everything.'

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “The players are fighting for everything and they won’t be giving up that’s for sure. We will be going for every point we can and I have confidence in this group of players.

“I have faith in them as players but belief isn’t enough. They know they have to go there and win the games we need. I believe they can do that and that is why I didn’t bring anyone in on deadline day. I think we have enough quality here to do it.

“Their performance and commitment to the cause against Coventry at the weekend when some way to justifying that decision not to bring anyone in on loan.”
