Another Crewe youngster commits his future to the club

Liam Nolan has become the latest Crewe Alexandra Academy graduate to sign a new deal with the club. The Liverpool-born midfielder, who has already represented Northern Ireland at Under-21 level has signed a new two year deal with an option of a third year.

Nolan, 19, has progressed into the first-team picture this season and has made 12 appearances, starting the club’s last three matches.

Nolan joins fellow youngsters George Ray, Ollie Turton, Billy Waters and Jon Guthrie in committing his future to the club.

Nolan told the club’s official web-site: “I am pleased to have signed a new contract with the club. It has given me that security knowing that I will hopefully get more chances to play first-team football.

“I’ve had a real taste of it this season and I’ve managed to start seven games, so that has been a real bonus for me. I’m grateful for the chance that the manager and the staff have given me this season and I hope I can play my part in the final game to make sure we stay up.

“We have to get over the line and make a fresh start next season. I am aiming to keep on improving and be involved even more than I have been this season.”
