Boss hopes Alex fans will be out in force against mass Wolves following

Steve Davis is hoping as many Crewe Alexandra supporters as possible will attend Saturday’s intriguing home game against Kenny Jackett’s Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Wolves away section is sold out and Davis is hoping that a good Crewe following will help us produce a performance to match the current league leaders.

The Alex boss is certainly looking forward to the test and to see if his players can again rise to the occasion and perhaps spoil Wolves’ chances of collating 100 points from their season.

“We know what we are capable of on our day, ‘says Steve. “The players usually lift themselves against the bigger clubs and produce a performance and we are hoping they can do it again.

“Our home form has not been good of late so we are due a good performance and we will give it a right go. We need points and it will make a huge difference to have our fans there in numbers and right behind us.

"We know they are going to have a massive following, so I hope as many Crewe fans as possible will come to the game and get behind our players. They can be the 12thman that we talk about. They know they will have a big part to play on Saturday against their support."
