Steve admits that we would love to see Wolves back in the Championship but all out to spoil their party this weekend
As a boyhood supporter of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Steve Davis hopes that Kenny Jackett’s side are eventually promoted at the end of the season - but the Crewe Alexandra boss will be looking to delay that confirmation for as long as possible by getting something from Saturday’s game.
Wolves are many people’s favourites to win the League One title at the end of the season and Davis will be as pleased as anyone to see them back in the Championship, but he is solely focussed on inflicting only their second defeat in 17 matches this weekend.
Ahead of our 3.07pm kick-off this weekend, Steve told us: “I’m sure Wolves will be promoted at the end of the season and they will probably go on to win the title. They have good players and will deserve it if they get the most points.

I will take pleasure in seeing Wolves back in the Championship but will be all out to beat them on Saturday. “ then that’s great because I have always wanted them to do well. rdHe added: “I am not interested in what Wolves are doing or how many points they want. My focus is on my team and what we want to do. If Wolves are promoted on May 3
