Boss pleased with Sheffield United's performance
Steve Davis has told crewealex.net that he was delighted with the report coming back from yesterday’s 5-0 win over Sheffield United in the Under-21s. Max Clayton and Nathan Ellington both scored twice and Byron Moore added another as the Alex stormed into a 5-0 half-time lead and the boss was pleased with the response of his fringe contingent.
Steve told crewealex.net: “The Under-21s had a really good result against Sheffield United. They were 5-0 up at half-time and it was job done and I have been told it was a really good performance from them.
“That will give them a real pick me up and hopefully give them a spring in their step. They will feel there is an opportunity for them there and that is what I want. I want to see that sort of response and having them pushing for a place.
“There were some really good performances and Neil (Baker) and James (Collins) were delighted with them. They have shown the right attitude and they are all trying and pushing on.”
