Full-back sruggling with dead leg

Matt Tootle is rated as a major doubt for this weekend’s home clash with Gillingham after suffering a reaction to his dead leg. Tootle picked up the initial injury against Walsall but placed himself in contention and played in last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Oldham.

Tootle has struggled to train at the beginning of the week and Steve Davis says that if the full-back is not 100% fit then we will consider another option.

Steve told crewealex.net: “Matt has had some real discomfort with his leg this week, it has stemmed from the dead leg he suffered.

“He played at Oldham and came through that but it hasn’t been 100% right since and he has missed some sessions. If he is not right then it will give someone else an opportunity. If Toots doesn’t make it then someone else will have that chance to come in and do well.”
