Steve: "We Can Improve"

Alex boss confident performances will pick up

Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis admits it has been a difficult start to the 2013/14 season. The Alex have stuttered during the opening weeks of the campaign and Davis admits that he has work to do with his side.

But the Alex boss is confident that he will be able to improve the level of performance throughout the season and says that the next few games will be crucial for the Alex.

With the Railwaymen struggling away from Gresty Road, Davis is looking for some home comfort over the next month, as he looks to help the Alex climb the League One table.

Steve told crewealex.net: “It’s been a tough opening month for us in the league. We knew the games that we had wouldn’t be easy for us and we have struggled.

“But we have got three out of the next four games at home and we have to get points at home at the minute because we have lost all three games away from home. It is imperative that we get some points at home to take the pressure of the away games, but we need to improve in those games.

“There are areas where we can improve and I am really confident that this group of players can improve as the season goes on.”
