Vadaine Oliver is rated as 50/50 after a dead leg
Striker Vadaine Oliver is rated as doubtful for tomorrow’s trip to Oldham Athletic after picking up a dead leg. Oliver is hoping that a return to training today will give him a chance of retaining his place up front but the manager Steve Davis rates the former Lincoln City man as 50/50.
Steve told crewealex.net: “Vadaine has a bit of a dead leg and it has meant that he has struggled to train all week. He has given it a go today and we will assess how he is but I would say he is only 50/50 to start.
“If he doesn’t make it then it will give someone else an opportunity. I am not keen on players only training on a Friday ahead of a Saturday match, but Vadaine has done well of late, so we can only see how he is.
He added: “It is a decision I will have to make but we have options if he is ruled out.”
