Steve Looks Forward to Boundary Park Test
Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that Boundary Park is always a difficult place to visit but he is after a similar performance to last season when Crewe ran out 2-1 winners thanks to goals to Mathias Pogba and Mark Ellis.
Davis says his players will have to stand up to be counted against Lee Johnson’s Oldham side and would certainly take a battling performance to get the three points.
Ahead of the trip to Oldham, Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Oldham is always a difficult place to go. It was a horrible day, raining and windy but we produced a battling performance and got a great result. We had to dig in and compete and it was sometimes you have to do that to make sure you get something.
“It wasn’t the prettiest of games and the basis of our victory was graft and hard work. We need to have that attitude again on Saturday. We will be going there to try and win the game and will give it a real go.
“We need a result and something to build on and we will only achieve that by remaining together and working hard.”
