Ryan missing for Walsall with chest infection and sore hip
Crewe Alexandra winger Ryan Colclough will miss tomorrow’s home against Walsall after failing to overcome a chest infection and sore hip. The youngster tried to resume training in mid-week but had to return to the treatment room after complaining of feeling unwell.
The England Youth International has been on a course of antibiotics which has steadily improved his well-being but boss Steve Davis says this weekend has come too soon for the 18-year-old.
Steve told crewealex.net: “Ryan still has a chest infection and is not quite well enough to make the game this weekend. He hasn’t trained much this week so he won’t be available. The Walsall game has come around too quickly for him but I’m sure he will be fine for Oldham next week.
“He hasn’t been well and has struggled to run around with his chest infection. His hip is also sore so the rest will do him some good.”
Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Alan Martin is also ruled out with a hip injury, but Matt Tootle dead leg has resumed training.
