Youngster a doubt with hip injury
Youngster Ryan Colclough is a doubt for Saturday’s game with Peterborough United. The exciting 18-year-old was forced off midway through the second-half in the win over Accrington Stanley last night after landing awkwardly on his hip.
Colclough, who has two goals to his name so far this term, tried to play on but was replaced by Ajay Leitch-Smith moments later.
Boss Steve Davis admits that his young winger/attacking midfielder is now in a race against time to be fit for the game against the League One high-flyers on Saturday.
Davis told crewealex.net: “Ryan landed awkwardly on his hip under a challenge so we will have to see how he is. He has had it strapped up and hopefully the swelling will settle down quickly.”
Steve also revealed in his after-match chat with the press that Byron Moore and Ollie Turton will also return to training on Thursday.
