Davis happy with the impression of Leitch-Smith, Molyneux and Oliver

Steve Davis admits the performances from substitutes Ajay Leitch-Smith, Vadaine Oliver and Lee Molyneux have given him some food for thought ahead of Saturday’s visit of Peterborough United.

The trio were all introduced to the game during the second half and all caught the eye of manager Steve Davis, who says he will analyse Peterborough before committing to a team selection for the game at Gresty Road.

Davis told crewealex.net: “All three of our substitutes made an impact for us on Tuesday when they came on in the game and that is what you are looking for them to do.

"Vadaine brought a physical presence for us when he came on. We are still not used to getting crosses in to the box but we are getting there.

“Lee did very well when he came on a looked a threat and Ajay was unlucky not to grab a goal as well. There were some good performances throughout the team and it was needed because we were a bit down after Saturday."
