Westley's Team Always Tough

22 October 2013

Alex will have to graft for result this evening

Steve Davis says his side will have to match the work ethic of Graham Westley’s Stevenage if we are to continue our mini-run of improvement. Crewe will be hoping to extend their run to three successive wins after fine victories against Preston and Bristol City, but Davis knows that Stevenage will be a tough opponent this evening.

The Alex boss told crewealex.net: “You always know what you will get from a Graham Westley team. They will be well organised, will be competitive and will battle until the end. They are always a hard side to beat and we will have play well and concentrate to get a result.

“We are prepared for a tough game and Graham will be looking to build on some decent results of late. They lost at the weekend to Walsall, but they have beaten MK Dons and Brentford recently so we know we will be in a game.

“Graham works hard out of the training ground to make sure his side is tactically ready for games and he will have come up with a plan to get the best out of his players.

“They are a decent side but so are we and we have been concentrating on ourselves of late and making sure we continue to improve.

The boss added: “We have looked at them and seen them on DVD so we know what to expect. I have also looked at our team and our personnel and I still might change what we have been doing of late.”
