Midfielder could have suffered knee ligament injury at Sheffield
Crewe Alexandra could be without midfielder Ollie Turton for the next month if a scan reveals that the Altrincham-based youngster has suffered medial knee ligament damage.
September. stTurton, 20, has made 11 appearances this season and scored his first senior goal away at Oldham in a 1-1 draw back on 21
Turton suffered the knee injury in a challenge with Sheffield United defender Harry Maguire during Saturday’s 3-1 defeat. He was replaced by Chuks Aneke at Bramall Lane.
Steve Davis explained: “Ollie had a scan on his knee at 8am this morning and we will have to see what comes back. We think it could be medial ligaments but he has been walking okay.
“It could be a similar injury to the one that Harry (Davis) suffered, so it could be around 4-5 weeks if that is the case.”
