Defender unlikley to feature against Blades
It is unlikely that defender Harry Davis will not be risked for tomorrow’s trip to Sheffield United after only recently returning to full-time training. Davis trained with the club’s scholars on Wednesday and joined in with the first-team yesterday after overcoming the knee injury he sustained in pre-season against Manchester United.
Davis has worked hard to come back quicker than anticipated, resuming training after a month rather than the projected 6-8 weeks, but manager Steve Davis says a full weeks’ training next week will be more beneficial after missing so much football.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Harry looks very well and has worked hard to get back quicker. It was originally thought he would be out for between 6-8 weeks, so that is a real bonus for us.
“He has only trained for two days though and it is perhaps wrong to think about throwing him straight tomorrow. He will be able to get a full weeks’ training under his belt next week and that will do him good. “
