Striker to step up rehab if he is given all-clear
Mathias Pogba will see a consultant later this week to determine whether he can begin running again.
Pogba is making tremendous strides in his quest to get back to fitness ahead of schedule after he suffered a serious knee injury in pre-season against Manchester United. Pogba is stepping up his rehab work under the guidance of head physio Rob Sharp and is expected to be back before his initial date of Christmas.
Manager Steve Davis told crewealex.net: “Mathias is working really hard and looks in great shape.
“He will see a consultant this week to have a review and if he is given the all-clear he will able to step up his rehab and do some running.
“Rob works them hard and he is always mindful of trying to get the injured players ready and back ahead of schedule if it is possible.
“All the physios Rob, Nick (Oakley) and Ben (Nixon) all work exceeding hard to give us the best chance and it is encouraging news in regards to our injured players.”
