Pogba Ahead Of Schedule

14 October 2013

Mathias determined to to back sooner than expected

Crewe Alexandra have been handed a boost with the news that last season’s top scorer Mathias Pogba appears to be ahead of schedule in his recovery. Pogba suffered cartilage and ligament damage to his knee after being on the receiving end of a hefty tackle from the former Manchester United player Scott Wootton during pre-season.

Pogba has worked relentlessly with the club’s head physio Rob Sharp and is making great progress to make sure he is fit and available before Christmas.

Steve Davis explained to crewealex.net: “Pogs is working hard and improving all the time. He is doing a lot of strengthening work around the knee and his determination to get back as soon as possible.

“He is very good when he is injured. He works really hard and just wants to get back as soon as he can. “

Pogba scored 16 goals last season before a thigh injury in April prematurely ended his season.
