Inman And Turts Return

25 October 2013

Injured duo back in contention for Sheffield

Crewe Alexandra have been boosted by the news that both Oliver Turton and Brad Inman are fit and available for selection for tomorrow’s trip to Sheffield United.

Turton suffered a thigh injury in training ahead of Tuesday’s defeat to Stevenage and had to be replaced late on by full debutant Liam Nolan.

Summer signing Brad Inman was also ruled out after suffering a virus and sickness bug but he has been given the all-clear by the club doctor and consultant to resume training. Both players are now under consideration for tomorrow’s tough test against Nigel Clough’s Blades.

We didn’t want him to aggravate it further and perhaps cause even more damage and he did the right thing because he is available for selection again. Steve explained to the club’s official web-site: “Ollie had tightness in his thigh in training on Monday and ruled himself out the game on Stevenage.

“Brad has been given the all-clear by the consultant and is fine. He could be involved this weekend. He had a virus that made him sick and we just wanted to make sure he was okay before he could resume training.”
