Good News On Harry

inury not as bad as first feared

The injury is the lesser of the evils with for instant Mathias Pogba suffering a grade three injury and cartilage damage during the pre-season. Crewe Alexandra have received some positive news in relation to Harry Davis’ knee injury with a scan showing a grade one medial ligament injury. Davis was stretched off after just six minutes of Saturday’s 3-0 home defeat by Gillingham and had to be replaced by young George Ray.

Manager Steve Davis told crewealex.net: “It is more positive news involving Harry’s injury. He has suffered a grade one, which is the minor of those types of injuries. It is the best result we could have hoped for and it will be weeks rather than months.

“It looked serious at the time, because he doesn’t go down very often and he came off with physio Nick (Oakley) supporting the knee, so we feared the worse, so this is positive news. He should be out between 3-6 weeks depending on his recovery.”
