Ellis: "Confidence Is Still High"

4 October 2013

Defender looking forward to the trip to Meadow Lane

Mark Ellis insists that confidence is still high in the Alex camp despite a difficult start to the season. The Alex go in tomorrow’s game at Notts County looking to bounce-back from a 3-0 home reverse against Gillingham.

Ellis is remaining upbeat about the quality within the Crewe dressing room, and says the whole squad want to take a good week on the training ground in to the game at Meadow Lane.

Steve told cewealex.net: “We have had a good week and hopefully we can take it in to the game tomorrow. Confidence is still high in the camp and we just want to perform. We will give everything we have got and hopefully get a result.

“This season was always going to be a lot harder because of the teams that we are playing week in and week out. But we need to make sure we make that step up as well and improve our own performances.

“I still believe we have got the quality in this squad and we just need to show it. The game tomorrow will be a tough game but we have all got to go out and put in a good performance.

“We can do all the preparation work and we have done over the last week, but now we need to make sure we go out and do it on a Saturday.”
