Harry Davis could resume training later this week

Crewe Alexandra boss Steve Davis is hopeful that defender Harry Davis could resume training later this week. Davis has missed the club’s last three matches after suffering a grade 1 medial injury against Gillingham at the end of last month.

Steve and his medical staff thought it would only be ‘a matter of weeks’ rather than months before he would be able to re-join training, but the 22-year-old centre-half has worked hard to get himself back into full-time training again as soon as possible.

Steve told crewealex.net: “It is good news in regards to Harry. He has been able to twist and turn and has been out kicking a ball again with Rob (Sharp). Hopefully, if he can keep on improving like he has he will be able to join in at some stage this week.

“That would be a timely boost for us and we’ll see how he is when we can test it out.”
