Crewe coach says it is about time FA tapped into Dario knowledge
Crewe Alexandra coach James Collins has praised the decision of the Football Association’s Chairman Greg Dyke for naming the club’s Technical Director Dario Gradi as part of the FA’s new commission.
Collins has been a player, youth coach and is now in charge of the club’s Under-21s coach at Crewe Alexandra and has worked closely with Dario Gradi during his time with the club.
On the new appointment, James told Crewe Alex Player: “Dario Gradi has joined the FA commission and that can only be a good thing for English football. If anyone can sort it out then he can.
“It’s been a long time coming to get Dario involved at that level.
“When you’re trying to develop better players then who better to get than Dario Gradi. I don’t think there is anyone better qualified.
James added: “Why no one has asked Dario before is ridiculous to me. Getting him involved can only be a good thing.”
There is more from James now only exclusively available on Crewe Alex Player. Why not subscribe now to hear from the newly appointed First Team staff member?
