Ryan Colclough out for a few weeks with pelvic problem

Crewe Alexandra expect their young talented winger Ryan Colclough to be out of action for a few weeks after he suffered discomfort in his groin and pelvic area. Colclough was unable to continue for the club’s Under-21s in their recent 1-1 draw with Birmingham at Gresty Road and the injury which stems from his hip injury has ruled out of the club’s last two games against Fletwood in the Football League trophy and away at Preston North End at the weekend.


The teenager has certainly been a threat for Crewe this season with his well taken brace giving us a 2-1 win over Tranmere back in August but the Burslem-based youngster has struggled ever since landing awkwardly on his hip against Accrington in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy. The winger went for a scan on Friday.

 

Steve explained to crewealex.net: “Ryan has been having some discomfort with his pelvis. It stems from the hip injury he had when he had to come off against Accrington.


“He had to come off again for the Under-21s because he hasn’t been comfortable with it.”
