Ryan and Westy hoping to resume training next week

Crewe Alexandra’s injured pair Ryan Colclough and Michael West could return to full-time training next week. Both have been struggling with pelvic and groin problems of late with Colclough recently undergoing an injection into his pubic bone to ease from discomfort.

Both players picked up their recent injuries during the club’s 1-1 draw with Birmingham at Under-21 level.

Manager Steve Davis is hoping to have both players back amongst his squad as soon as possible to improve his competition in wide areas.

The Alex boss said: “Ryan has had his injection now and we are just waiting to see how that settles down. I’m sure it will be fine and he will able to kick on and push on with his rehab.

“Westy has a similar problem to Ryan, although his is not as severe. We will just see how that improves. I hope that both of them could consider a return to training sometime next week.”
