Boss Hints At Changes

Davis ponders his options ahead of County trip

Steve Davis has indicated he may make changes for tomorrow’s game at Notts County. The Alex will be looking to bounce-back from the 3-0 defeat to Gillingham last weekend, and Davis says he may tinker with his side.

Defender Matt Tootle could be in line for a return. The versatile full-back missed the 3-0 defeat to Gillingham last week with a dead-leg, but has stepped up his recovery this week and could return at Meadow Lane.

The Alex will still be without Harry Davis for the game. Davis of course injured his knee early on in the meeting with the Gills and is expected to be out for the next three to six weeks. Mathias Pogba is the only other absentee for the Alex.

Boss Steve Davis has indicated he make changes for the game. Steve told crewealex.net: “We have got to keep looking at changing players around until we find that winning formula. When players don’t play as well as they can, you have to look at other alternatives.

“That is what I have done so far this season. I thought we had found it when we changed it around against Peterborough but we conceded a late goal and were unfortunate to only get a point in a game we should have won.

“We haven’t been able to follow that up yet, and haven’t been able to find that winning team.”
