Scan reveals medial ligament damage
Midfielder Ollie Turton could be out for six weeks after a scan revealed medial ligament damage to his knee. Turton sustained the injury in the build-up to Sheffield United’s third goal last week and he has suffered a similar injury to that of defender Harry Davis.
Like Davis, Turton, 20, could be out for between 4-6 weeks and it is a blow for the club and for the Altrincham-based youngster.
Manager Steve Davis told the club’s official web-site: “Ollie could be out for a number of weeks. The scan revealed medial ligament damage and it is a very similar injury to the one Harry had recently.
“It should be between 4-6 weeks and it is a blow. It is a blow for Ollie, who was in the team and a blow for the club. It is a set-back for him after he had just come back from a thigh strain.”
