New loan keeper is determined to build on his experiences

Steve Davis has told the club’s official web-site that the loan signing of Neil Etheridge is hopefully one of a few he will look to bring in before next Thursday’s deadline.

Etheridge has joined the club on loan until New Years’ Day and could be involved against Port Vale tomorrow. Davis is still looking for reinforcements in different positions, whilst also looking to get a few out on loan or a permanent basis once the transfer window re-opens in 2014.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “Neil comes with a good pedigree. He is an International and third choice at Fulham. He comes highly rated and is desperate to play. We’ll see how he does and he is one of a few additions I would like to bring into the Football Club.

“We have given all of our goalkeepers an opportunity and sometimes they have performed well and at times they haven’t. They have got to show that consistency and I have chosen to do something about it. It was important that we try and do something now.”
