Harry Davis says Cup still important to players and clubs
Harry Davis admits that the FA Cup remains important to clubs and players and the fit-again defender is eyeing up an extended run in the competition.
Crewe travel to Wycombe Wanderers this weekend in the FA Cup first round in what will be a tricky tie against the League Two side.
Davis, who successfully returned from a knee injury last weekend to help the club achieve a clean-sheet against Bradford City, is hoping that Crewe can advance and reach that third round and perhaps secure a dream tie against one of the Premier League sides.
Ahead of the weekend trip to Adams Park, Harry told Crewe Alex Player: “Everyone loves the FA Cup. It brings a great atmosphere and we want to put a run together.
“It will be a tough game. We have been knocked out by non-league teams before. Everyone seems to up their game in the cup, so I know they will be decent.
“We are aiming for the third round then a decent draw, but we can't look further than the third round.”
