Affectionately known as ‘Mesca’, the Bissan-born winger began his career as a young trainee with Sporting Lisbon before joining Chelsea in May 2010.
He later joined Chelsea’s South London neighbours Fulham in September 2011 and his form was rewarded with a three-year professional deal. He made his Premier League debut against his former club Chelsea in September when replacing Alex Kacaniklic with 20 minutes remaining.
The Portuguese Youth International has been a regular for Fulham’s Under-21 Development side, is contracted at Craven Cottage until 2016, and and will wear the number 28 at Crewe Alexandra.
