Midfielder signs one-year deal with the Alex

Crewe Alexandra are delighted to announce that young midfielder Liam Nolan has agreed professional terms with the club. The 18-year-old Liverpudlian has put pen-to-paper on a one-year deal with the Railwaymen, taking him in to the summer of 2014.

Nolan impressed throughout his two-year scholarship with the Alex, and capped it off with a stunning strike in the F.A. Youth Cup victory over Scunthorpe United.

He became a regular in the heart of the midfield for the Crewe U21 side, and his impressive performances saw him travel with the first-team squad for the trip to Crawley where he was named on the bench.

The 19-year-old will now look to continue his development over the coming 12-months and push for further involvement with the first-team.
