Steve targets three new players with goalscorer topping list

Steve Davis is determined to add goals to his side this summer and has made a goal getter as his number one target. The Alex boss admits he is after three new signings during the closed season, with a clinical goalscorer the main priority. He is also in the market for a quick winger and a ball playing midfielder.

Steve told crewealex.net: “I am pleased with the squad we have, especially if we can keep our main assets. If we can keep the group together and add possibly three more quality players to that then that would make us stronger.

“We know that it is going to be a tough season and we will do our best to improve our options. I want to add a goalscorer, a clinical one who is going to take chances on a regular basis.

“I don’t mind if that is one who can run in behind or more of a target man, as long as they can take a goal.

The boss added: “I want to add some pace in the team. All the teams that are successful have those athletic, quick players and that would offer us something more going forward. We have a bit of time to look at it and we will have to be sure.”
