Steve Davis says defenders have to be mindful of Lowe and Gleeson threat
Steve Davis says he seriously thought about making a move to re-sign Ryan Lowe back on loan in October, but the MK Dons striker recaptured his place and starting scoring goals again. Lowe has scored 10 goals so far this season and his clever movement and quick thinking makes him a threat to his former club this evening.
Steve told the club’s official web-site: “We thought about doing something with Ryan (Lowe) earlier in the season. He was out of favour and not getting much game time. We felt we could have done something about it, but we didn’t and he got back in and started scoring goals again.
“Fair play to Ryan because the only way you are going to stay in the team as a striker is by scoring and creating goals. He has that ability to score goals and take half chances. He has played up front on his own with Gleeson behind him.
“Gleeson has been out with injury, and him returning has coincided with MK Dons getting themselves going again. He is a good player and an important player for them. It will be a tough game but one we are looking forward to.”
