Inman Looking To Earn Place

Brad wants to get his place back as soon as possible after overcoming ankle injury

Crewe Alexandra’s on-loan midfielder Brad Inman is hoping he will doing all he can to regain his place in Steve Davis’ starting line-up. Inman returned to Crewe this week and has been able to get through a full week’s training to declare him fit and available for the club’s Easter double header against Bury and Preston.

Inman has been checked over by his parent club Newcastle after suffering an ankle injury against Hartlepool.

The Scotland Under-21 International told Crewe Alex Player: “I have been able to get a week’s train under my belt now and hopefully I can be involved in the Easter games. I knew when the tackle happened at Hartlepool that it could be a bad one, but we thought it would only be two weeks.

“That has dragged on to a month and Newcastle just wanted to check it over. Everything is fine. It is just good to be back. Hopefully I can do well enough to earn a spot back in the team.

“I just miss playing football and when I was here, I was playing almost every game and enjoying it. It is now up to me to force my way back in.”
