Come And See The JPT Trophy!

26 March 2013

Come and see the trophy and meet some of the players at the Stadium on March 27th

The countdown to the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Final will be cranked up next week when an action-packed Trophy Tour is staged in Crewe ahead of the Wembley spectacle.

The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy team will take to the road to capture all the excitement surrounding Crewe Alexandra and Southend United ahead of their big day on Sunday, April 7.

Fans will have the chance to meet players and other representatives from their clubs, as well as having their picture taken with the coveted Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Competition giveaways aplenty will be staged – with tickets for the Finals amongst the prizes up for grabs – while supporters will also have the opportunity to take part in a special National Anthem singing video which will feature on the official Johnstone’s Paint Trophy YouTube channel.

The first event in Crewe will be staged on Wednesday, March 27 at the club shop at the Gresty Road stadium, with several members of the Crewe squad joining in the fun from 3pm-6pm.

On Thursday, March 28, the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy team will make an early appearance on Signal Radio’s Breakfast Show.

The fun and giveaways then move to the Johnstone’s Decorating Centre on the Crewe Gates Farm Industrial Estate, where manager Steve Davis and another Alex player will also attend the event, which will be staged between 3pm and 6pm.

“It promises to be a great two days and I’m sure the fans will be out in force in Crewe ahead of the big day,” said Johnstone’s Paint Brand and Sponsorship Manager Ben Wilde.

“The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy has always placed a very strong emphasis on engaging with fans, and what better way than hitting the road and meeting up with the supporters of the clubs who have done brilliantly to reach Wembley.

“These events will add to the excitement around the clubs and ensure Wembley fever continues to build. It would be great to see as many fans as possible come and join the fun.”

Prior to heading to Crewe, the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Tour will be in Southend on Monday, March 25 and Tuesday, March 26.
