"Come And See The Trophy"

Trophy, players and management in the Alexandra Store

Steve Davis hopes that a large section of the club’s fan base will come down to the Alexandra Store for a bit of a meet-and-greet and to enjoy having their picture taken with the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy. The trophy will be in the Club Shop from between 3-6pm and members of the first-team squad will be popping in, so you can have a photo and get some autographs.

Steve told the club’s official web-site: “A trip to Wembley doesn’t come around too often and we have been very lucky that in that we have the opportunity to go for a second time in a year. It is a fantastic stadium and I’m sure those who came down in May will always remember the day.

“It is a day they will never forget. The hot day, Nick’s goal and Byron finishing the game off towards the end and the feeling that they gave after we achieved what we set out to do.

“It is a fantastic day out for everyone regardless of what happens. You can take the kids and say that you saw Crewe play in a Cup Final. We might not get back to Wembley for 10, 20, 30 years. I am just being realistic and I don’t want our fans to miss out, because it is a great event for the town of Crewe and for our exiled fans.

“The build-up is really starting now and the trophy will be at the Stadium today between 3-6pm. I will be down there. There will be some players there as well so there is an opportunity to have their pictures taken and get some autographs.

April.”thHe added: “If you haven’t got your tickets, transport sorted or want to but the new home shirt for next season then you can today. These things don’t come around too often and might not happen again in my or yours lifetime, so if you can afford it come and have a day out at Wembley on 7
