Abdul Osman looking forward to facing his ex team-mate in pre-season
Combative midfielder Abdul Osman is looking forward to locking horns again with his former team-mate Ashley Westwood again in pre-season. Crewe take on Paul Lambert’s Aston Villa on Friday 26th July and Osman is looking forward to seeing Westy back at Gresty Road as part of our pre-season preparations.
Abdul told the club’s official web-site: “I am looking forward to the pre-season games. We have Blackburn and Aston Villa at home, so that is something we can look forward to and aim for. It is always good to test yourself against better teams and top players.
“I’m sure the fans will enjoy it and it will be great to play against some Premier League players. Westy has had a really good season with Aston Villa. He has got into their team and done really well for them. I am pleased they stayed up for him.
Abs added: “We all know what a good player he is and I think he had just got better and better. It will be good to play against him.”
