Matt Tootle says he is looking forward to the new fixtures out this Wednesday
Matt Tootle says he still gets a buzz when the new fixtures are announced in June. The new set of Football League fixtures are released on Wednesday 19th June at 9am and Tootle says it is always good to know who the club will be playing on the opening day of the season and for the first few games.
The Crewe defender told crewealex.net: “It is always good when the new fixtures come out. You still get a rush when you see them and see who you have on the opening day. It doesn’t really matter who you have on the opening day of the season because a lot can be placed on that first game. It is always a long season.
“It is always nice to see the fixtures come out though and see who you have in the first few games and where you at Christmas and what the run-in is like. It just brings the new season closer which is good."
