Adam Dugdale expresses his gratitude to supporters following his loss of his baby son

Adam Dugdale has personally thanked the Crewe Alexandra supporters for their messages of support following the sad loss of his baby son Jude in April.

Dugdale, who returned from compensation leave to be involved on the final day of the season against Walsall as an unused substitute, told the club’s Crewe Alex Player Freeview:

 

“It is something you don't ever expect to happen to you. It was the worst and the best 10 days of my life, ‘Adam said.

 

“Holding your little child and knowing you’re a dad - every time I speak about it I get emotional.

 

“I wouldn't change it because I got to meet him, but it was a rollercoaster, a really difficult time.

 

“I can't thank everyone enough for the support they showed, the day at Wembley was amazing, both sets of fans.

 

Adam added: “The messages I've had shows what genuine and nice people there is out there and I can only thank them.”
